OK so earlier I said this gif would be different to all the other ones because it had a meaning behind it and I would explain why—>

Arular(2005)
Kala(2007)

and She is due to release the 4th album (Matangi) this year.
In a interview back in january, Maya stated that the new album would most likely sound like a mash up of the all the previous albums and I was inspired by that.
IF you look at EACH letter, it represents each era and If you look at each dot between the letters, you can see its the actual cds of each album.
The “M”: Arular era, I recycled and edited some of m.i.a’s old stencil work, moved it around and fit it into a “M” I designed and glitterized it. it is followed by the arular cd on the bottom.
The “I”: Kala era, this is the one I started with really, I used a still from the birdflu video, changed the shape to look more like an “i” and glitterized it, then I put the Kala CD on top of the “i” to act as the DOT:)))))
The “A”: Maya era, this picture was always my favourite of the jamie martinez gifs and when I was looking for something I could shape into a “A”, I immediately thought of this, it took so fucking long but I got there eventually and ofcourse the Maya cd acts as a full stop between the I and A:P
